Yes. When you enroll a driver into LENS, we will send you an abstract of the driver's record. The abstract will show the convictions and suspensions that are in effect.
Yes. New York State law requires the DMV to charge for searches of its records. Each search costs $7. If you are using LENS as a pre-hire screening tool, we recommend that you add any driver that you look up. You can later drop the driver if you choose not to hire.
The LENS website allows you to add drivers one at a time with no limit. If you wish to add or drop a batch of drivers, please make arrangements with the LENS Help Desk.
Follow the "Order Driving Records" link on your LENS main menu. Without entering any data in the available fields, choose the "search" button. LENS will display the drivers currently on your roster

Yes. Follow the "Order Driving Records" link from your LENS main menu, enter the license number, customer index, or the last name of the driver, and select "Search". Choose the blue circle to the left of the driver's name. Choose the "Order Driving Record" button to request a driving record. Driving records are $7 apiece.
Yes. Follow the "Recent Transaction Information" link from your LENS main menu and enter the license number or customer index of the driver into the spaces. You will see a list of all notifications LENS has produced for the driver.

Some events reach DMV more quickly than others. LENS can only notify you of an event after it posts to the driver's record. If a driver provides you with a disposition from a court and you haven't seen corresponding information from LENS, you may confirm by contacting the court that produced the disposition.
LENS does not notify of summonses (tickets). A summons is not a public record unless, and until, there is a conviction.
An accident report must be indexed at the DMV before it is recorded on a driver's record. Some accidents take longer than others to index. LENS will notify you of the event after it posts to the driver's record.
Conviction notifications contain the conviction date, violation, violation date, serial number of the ticket, and point value of the conviction.
Not directly, but you can obtain a photocopy of the traffic ticket. Tickets usually show the plate number, place, time and date of the incident, which may be useful for your purpose. Order a photocopy of the ticket using Form MV-15 http://www.dmv.ny.gov/forms/mv15.pdf and include the ticket serial number noted on your LENS notification.
After you have enrolled drivers in LENS, your account is active until you close it. If you don't receive any notifications, it means that no new events have been posted to your drivers' records.
