FMCSA Removal of NY Chiropractors from National Registry

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles has been notified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) that New York State Chiropractors are no longer certified to complete USDOT Medical Examiners Certificates for commercial drivers.

New York State Chiropractors were notified by FMCSA on June 1st, 2016 that they were removed from the National Registry of Certified Examiners.  Medical Examiner Certificates issued by New York State licensed chiropractors through June 1, 2016, while they were listed on the National Registry will remain valid until their expiration date.

Medical Certificates completed by New York State Chiropractors on or after June 2nd, 2016 are not acceptable and will be returned to the driver for a new certificate resulting in processing delays and possible commercial license downgrades.
