Request another person's records
How do I get another person's records?
You must certify that you have a permissible use under the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) to see the personal information of another person on DMV records. See Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) for more information.
You may do one of the following to request another person's records
- use the Records Request Navigator to make a request online
- use Request for Driving Record Information (PDF) (MV-15C) to request a driving record abstract at a DMV office
- open a Dial-In Search Account or participate in the License Event Notification Service (LENS) if you need frequent access to other people's records
- use the Freedom of Information Law Request Form (PDF) (MV-FOIL) to request another person's records through the FOIL Office
