This page is divided into three sections to help you quickly find the information and answers you need to order inspection stickers online:

Your facility license determines which inspection stickers you are eligible to purchase. Pick the type of sticker and tell us how many books you want to purchase. |

My facility address has changed. Can I order inspection stickers online?
No, DO NOT order online if your facility address has changed. Inspection stickers are mailed to the facility address on file at DMV.
If your facility name or address has changed, you will need to change your address with DMV, as follows:

Which types of inspection stickers can be ordered online?
Just like mail-in orders, you may order inspection stickers only for the types of inspections your facility is licensed to perform.
Can I have my stickers express mailed?
Yes, you may chose the option of having your order sent by express mail. There is an additional fee of $10.00.
How much does it cost to order inspection stickers online?
The cost is the same as for other methods of ordering inspection stickers. There is no additional charge for ordering online. If you choose the express mail option, there is an additional fee of $10.00. You will be shown the total fee for your inspection sticker order before being asked to complete the transaction.
How do I pay for my order?
You must pay for your order using one of the following credit cards:
NOTE: We are currently unable to apply Vehicle Safety "credits" to online orders. However, you may still apply your credits to mail-in orders.
How will I know what amount is being charged to my credit card?
You will be shown the fee for your order before you are asked to complete the transaction. The fee amount is also shown on the confirmation that you receive after submitting your order. Your credit card statement should also identify a charge for "DMV Vehicle Safety".
Since you must submit a separate order for each type of inspection sticker you are requesting you will see a separate charge for each type of sticker your order. For example, if you want to order Safety Inspection Stickers and Safety/Low Enhanced Emissions Inspection Stickers, you must place two separate orders which will result in two credit card charges.
Is it safe to use my credit card on the Internet?
DMV uses SSL (secure socket layering), which is the industry standard for Internet commerce. It encrypts your credit card and personal information to ensure security of credit card transactions. Why do I need an order number?
How will I know if my transaction worked?
If your online order is successful, then after a few moments you should see a confirmation page displaying an order number, the fee amount you were charged and other important information about your transaction. Alternatively, if we are unable to process your transaction, you will see an error message giving an explanation of the problem, along with instructions for resolving the error and an order number, if applicable.
In either case, you should write down your order number!
Remember... You will need your facility number and order number if you contact us about your transaction.
After your order has been processed, we will attempt to send you an e-mail confirmation using the address you entered on the payment screen. This e-mail confirmation will also include your order number.
If you experience a problem during the transaction and you are not sure if the transaction processed, contact Vehicle Safety Services during regular business hours for assistance.
Why won't the transaction accept my credit card?
There are several possible reasons for this. If we are unable to process your transaction, due to a credit card problem you will see an error message giving an explanation of the problem, along with instructions for resolving the error and an order number, if applicable.
How often may I order inspection stickers online?
Why am I getting an error message telling me I may not place another order?
You may place one order per day for each type of inspection sticker your facility is licensed to perform. Each order has a maximum dollar amount of $1,210 ($1,200 in stickers, plus an optional $10 express delivery fee). If you try to order a quantity of stickers that totals more than $1,210, you will be asked to place a smaller order.
Also, if you try to order the same inspection sticker type more than once per day, you will receive an error message advising you that you have already placed an order for that type of sticker.

How long will it take to get my inspection stickers?
Please allow at least 2 weeks to receive your inspection stickers. Due to variations in mailing time, some orders may take a little longer.
Please be aware that any confirmation you receive online or by e-mail indicates that your online inspection sticker order has been successfully placed. Internet orders for inspection stickers are processed and shipped along with other mail-in requisitions received on the same date.
Why doesn't the DMV send all my sticker orders in one package?
There are separate sticker orders for each different sticker type. There are five different types of motor vehicle inspection stickers used in NYS, and DMV receives hundreds of sticker orders per day. Orders for different sticker types for a single facility can be processed on different days. For these reasons, the DMV arranges for shipment by the type of sticker and sends different sticker types in different shipments.
Can I cancel my online order?
To cancel an order, you will have to contact Vehicle Safety Services during regular business hours. You must call before your order is shipped.
What are the hours to order inspection stickers online?
Online ordering is normally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the system is unavailable, please try again later.
The station's facility license was suspended until today. Why can't I place an order?
Suspensions on facility licenses are removed overnight through an automated process. Wait a day, and try to submit your order again.
How can I get the details and the status of my order?
Use the online lookup for the details and the status of your previous orders for inspection stickers, MV-50 books or MV-907A forms.
What if my question is not answered here?
Specific questions not answered here should be directed to Vehicle Safety Services during regular business hours.
