Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Safety, & Driver Licensing
Deputy Commissioner Janet Ho was appointed Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Safety, & Driver Licensing to DMV in January 2017.
Ms. Ho previously served as DMV's Deputy Commissioner for Policy and Planning.
Prior to her time at DMV, Ms. Ho served as the assistant secretary for transportation for former Governor Cuomo.
Prior to her time at the Executive Chamber, Ms. Ho worked for the New York State Senate Finance Committee as a deputy director of budget studies concentrating primarily in the areas of transportation, environment, economic development, energy, and housing. Before that, she was a senior legislative budget analyst for the New York State Assembly Ways and Means Committee. She holds an MPA from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a B.A. in Psychology, as well as a B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society, from U.C. Irvine.
