Sayra Craft
Deputy Commissioner and Chief Information Officer
Sayra Craft was appointed Deputy Commissioner and Chief Information Officer in April 2023 to assist in leading the agency’s transformation effort, specifically the restructuring and modernization of DMV technology to better serve both customers and employees and support the goals of the agency’s Strategic Plan.
Ms. Craft joined DMV in 2020 as the Director of Transformation, Data, and Program Support. In that role, she had been overseeing project and program management, business process analysis and re-design, data governance and analytics, and technical project support.
Ms. Craft is a career NYS public servant. Prior to joining DMV, she worked in a variety of roles at the NYS Office of Information Technology Services, supporting the information technology needs of multiple NYS agencies through web and application development, platform management, and customer engagement management, and finally in her role as the Director of End User Services. She also has worked for the NYS Office for the Aging, the Division of the Budget, and the Department of Taxation and Finance.
