How to Check Insurance Status Online

If you received an Order from the DMV about a lapse of liability insurance, you can check the status of your insurance, driver's license, and vehicle registration related to that insurance online.

You will need the letter or order from the DMV related to your auto liability insurance. This will have:

  • the 10-digit document number
  • your vehicle plate number
