DMV mails your license, learner permit, or non-driver ID to the address on record. Allow 2 weeks to receive the document.
To check the mailing status of your photo document online, enter your
- name or DMV ID Number from your driver license, learner Permit, or non-driver ID
- date of birth
- gender

If you do not receive your document after two weeks of processing, you can send a question online, call the DMV or contact a DMV office.
Online Custom or Personalized Plate Order
You can check the mailing status of your plates order online.
After DMV processes your order, you will receive new documents that show your current plate number and your new plate combination in approximately 10 days or less. Allow at least 6 weeks for the custom plates to arrive. Your new registration documents will be mailed separately from your new custom plates.

You can check the status of vehicle, boat, and manufactured home (MFH) titles and liens online.
Registration Fee Refund
If you ordered your registration documents online, you can check the status of your order. Please note that it takes DMV about 12 weeks to process a registration fee refund.
If you do not receive your registration fee refund within 12 weeks, you can send a question online or call the DMV.
