AA-53.2: Statement in Place of Personal Appearance (PDF)
Unrepresented motorists who do not want to appear in person for a hearing, may appear by submitting a written statement instead.
To appear by written statement, schedule a hearing and then complete and sign the Statement in Place of Personal Appearance form and mail it to the office where your hearing is scheduled to be held.
At the hearing, the judge will hear testimony, read your statement into the record and consider any evidence presented. The judge will make a finding of “guilty” or “not guilty” and mail you a decision to the address provided in the Statement.
