MEDIA ADVISORY: GTSC, DMV AND XFINITY RACE CAR DRIVER ROSS CHASTAIN PROMOTE SEAT BELT USE AT WATKINS GLEN STATE PARK

Watkins Glens, NY - The Governor's Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC) and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will be holding a meet and greet with Xfinity race car driver Ross Chastain at Watkins Glen State Park on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, to promote the importance of seat belt use. Chastain will be on site to sign autographs and to meet and take pictures with fans.

Chastain, an eighth-generation farmer whose family grows watermelons, and JD Motorsports help encourage seat belt use through the “Protect Your Melon” initiative. Additionally, JD Motorsports’ race cars will sport the “Protect Your Melon” logo as they race in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Zippo 200 at The Glen at Watkins Glen International on Saturday, August 3, 2019.
