MEDIA ADVISORY: GTSC MARKS NATIONAL TEEN DRIVER SAFETY WEEK AT UNION-ENDICOTT HIGH SCHOOL
Endicott, NY – As part of National Teen Driver Safety Week, the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee [3] (GTSC) and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) [4] will engage students about safe driving through interactive activities at Union-Endicott High School. Students will participate in the Battle of the Belts [5] seat belt competition and use the Seat Belt Convincer, which simulates the force of a low-speed collision. Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death for teens in the United States.
