Request another person's records
How do I get another person's records?
You must certify that you have a permissible use under the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) to see the personal information of another person on DMV records. See Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) [1] for more information.
You may do one of the following to request another person's records
- use the Records Request Navigator [2] to make a request online
- use Request for Driving Record Information (PDF) [3] (MV-15C) to request a driving record abstract at a DMV office [4]
- open a Dial-In Search Account [5] or participate in the License Event Notification Service (LENS) [6] if you need frequent access to other people's records
- use the Freedom of Information Law Request Form (PDF) [7] (MV-FOIL) to request another person's records through the FOIL Office
