DMV Ticketing Systems is actively recruiting Motor Vehicle Representative 1 candidates with proficiency in the following languages:
• Spanish
• Russian
• Bengali
• Chinese
The recruitment is for temporary, full-time appointments. To obtain a permanent appointment, you will need to pass a future Civil Service examination. All exams are conducted in English, and qualified candidates will be required to pass a language proficiency exam.
As a Motor Vehicle Representative 1, you will have substantial telephone contact with members of the public seeking services or information regarding license and ticket records.
Minimum Qualifications:
You must have graduated from high school or have earned a high school equivalency diploma, AND
1. one year full-time experience in a position involving extensive face to face interaction with the general public where your primary responsibility is communicating effectively to resolve customer’s issues and/or problems, explaining programs, services, policies and/or procedures or reconciling accounts.
OR
2. one year full-time experience in a position involving substantial telephone customer service experience in a call center environment where your primary responsibility included providing information concerning or explaining programs, services, policies and/or procedures, or obtaining detailed information from clients, or resolving problems, or reconciling accounts.
OR
3. 30 semester credit hours of college-level study and 6 months of extensive face to face interaction, or 6 months of substantial telephone customer service experience as detailed above.
