Self-Certification is a program in which select licensed driving schools can conduct qualifying tests for instructors the school wants to hire. In addition, these schools can be approved to teach the 30-Hour Basic Instructor’s Course (a.k.a. “Methods and Content Course for In-Car Instruction” or MCCII) to driving school instructors.
In order to qualify for this program, your driving school must meet all of the following:
Driving schools that meet all of the above can apply to be approved as a Self-Certifying Driving School.
Driver Training Programs will review your application and compare it to our records regarding your driving school to verify that the minimum requirements to apply are met. Additional investigations, which may include an onsite inspection of your driving school and audit of your records, may be conducted prior to determining your eligibility.
