MEDIA ADVISORY: DMV, GTSC, LAW ENFORCEMENT URGE DRIVERS TO STAY SOBER, DON’T MAKE SARATOGA THE SUMMER PLACE TO BE PULLED OVER
On Thursday, August 17, the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee (GTSC) [1] and State, County and Local Law Enforcement will hold a kickoff event for a two-week long, statewide “Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement and education initiative targeting drunk or drug-impaired drivers. Leaders will encourage New Yorkers to use the “Have a Plan” app to designate a driver, hire a taxi or, new this year, book a ride share.
