Transaction Message - Voter Registration
IMPORTANT DEADLINE: Any voter registration completed through this DMV site must be done by Friday, March 22nd to be eligible to vote in the 2024 Presidential Primary. Voters may still use the Board of Elections’ Online Voter Registration portal to register by the Saturday, March 23rd deadline.
Electronic Voter Registration Errors or Changes in Client Information
If your name, date of birth or gender displayed on the Electronic Motor Voter Application is incorrect or is out of date, do not submit your application online now. You can either
- update the information with the DMV as explained below, and then return to the Electronic Voter Registration Application
or
- download and complete a NYS Voter Registration Form from the Web site of the NYS Board of Elections, and enter the correct information on the form
To correct or update information on DMV records
- if DMV made an error, use the Ask DMV a Question service to request a correction. We may be able to correct it without you coming to a DMV office. There is no fee for a correction.
- if your name has changed, see Change Your Name
- if you must change other information on your NYS photo document and records, See Application for Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card (MV-44).
