Do Not Submit with Incorrect Information
If your name, date of birth, or gender displayed on the Electronic Motor Voter Application is incorrect or is out of date, do not submit your application online now.
You can either
- update the information with the DMV as explained below, and then return to the Electronic Voter Registration Application
or - download and complete a NYS Voter Registration Form from the Web site of the New York State Board of Elections, and enter the correct information on the form.
Correct or Update Information on DMV Records
If DMV made an error, use the Ask DMV a Question service to request a correction. We may be able to correct it without you coming to a DMV office. There is no fee for a correction.
